At the heading of its Home page, the user can identify itself according to its profile or directly access one of the desktops or working ambiences designed for user types with specific needs and interests to whom this portal is addressed: docents, executives, students, family and investigators. This access does not require previous registration.

The advanced search, the subject search and the option Contact Us are located under the heading. The option Contact Us is addressed to a 24 hour delay answering service for our user’s questions. Also the visitor can access from here to two main papers of broad range interest for the educational community and to the papers in each of the desktops, all of which are renewed weekly to keep our users up to date on the educational sector.

Also a broadcasting showcase What’s New in educarchile can be found at the Home Page. Each week new services, products or portal contents are presented here. Close to it, an activity Agenda concerning the educational world is shown (conventions, competitions, seminars, events). Also, the News form the educational sector, updated daily from the publications in other means of communications and an opinion Survey for the users of weekly renovation can be found here.

At the bottom third, the portal presents Resources, generally related to the school year period or to special dates (World Environment Day, Women´s Day, Originary People´s Day, among others).

Registration in educarchile allows the users to receive several free benefits, such as: access to communication tools like email or chat, a virtual hard disk and participation in activities such as competitions or educational contests or quizzes and early reception of information on new contents for the portal.

The main menu is organized throughout the portal by the actions to be taken by the users:

Search: gathers all the tools though which the users can find resources in the portal, such as classroom planning, contents and exercises, diagnosis tools, school directories, etc.

Grow: refers to the spaces allowed for professional and labor growth to that can be accessed from educarchile.

Share: a space for communication and meetings, collaborative work and the creation of contents and web sites inside the portal.

Services: access to free communication tools.

Institutional: an open description of who we are and of the institutions supporting the work of educarchile.
